Chronic Laryngitis

A chronic laryngitis (chronic inflammation of the larynx) is often the result of ongoing irritation of the mucous membranes, such as due to nicotine, reflux, or dry air. Regular check-ups are advisable in this condition, as the persistent inflammation of the mucous membranes can be a precursor to malignancies.

Treatment:

Therapeutic measures include inhalation, improvement of nasal breathing, cessation of nicotine use, and, if necessary, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
